Dr. Ainley returned to Paragould in 1984 after graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He practiced with his father, Dr. Charles Ainley until his retirement in 1996. Dr. Ainley attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas graduating with a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Biology. He was also an exchange student to Seinan Gakuin University in Fukuoka, Japan his sophomore year and attended graduate programs at Ouachita and the University of Tennessee at Martin. Dr. Ainley also completed the graduate straightwire orthodontic program with the American Orthodontic Society and an intern program with the University of Tennessee and Midwest Implant Institute in 1992. He received the Arkansas Young Dentist of the Year Award presented by the Arkansas State Dental Association in 1996. Dr. Ainley has served as president of the Arkansas Academy of General Dentistry receiving the fellowship award in 1996 and the prestigious Masters Award in 2006. Dr. Ainley is the eighth recipient of this award ever presented for the state of Arkansas. He received an associate fellowship from Midwest Implant Institute. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association and the Northeast Arkansas District Dental Association, serving as president at the district level and on the executive board at the state level.
He is also a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and Dentaire Internationale. Dr. Ainley is the action team leader for the 1st Congressional District with the state association PAC. Dr. Ainley is a past president of the Crowley’s Ridge Study Club
Dr. Ainley is a member of Kiwanis International as has served as local club president. He has served on the board of directors for the Paragould Chamber of Commerce , the tourism committee, and the Greene County Community Fund. He was appointed to a term as commissioner on the Parks and Recreation Committee.He served on the Greene County Courthouse Preservation Society. He participated in the Rotary Group Study Exchange to Northern Italy in 1992.
In Boy Scouts, Dr. Ainley is an Eagle Scout with four palms, a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow and received his God and Country Award. He was presented the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver. He has served as scoutmaster to the 2005 National Jamboree and has attended several national scouting events and high adventure bases as a youth and a leader. He currently serves on the troop committee of Troop 138. He has served as District Chairman and Chapter OA Advisor.
Dr. Ainley is a member of East Side Baptist Church and serves on the mission committee. Dr. Ainley has been active in foreign missions to Jamaica and especially Guatemala. Dr. Ainley has also been appointed to the board of directors of Williams Baptist College.
Dr. Ainley is a public speaker to youth, senior citizens and professionals on various dental health topics. He is on staff at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Dr. Ainley is married to Jan Porter and has three children, Meredith, Madison and Myles. |
